Wow! I'm lost for words! lol I saw a number of paintings in the Guggenheim like this when I was in the US earlier this year and previously I'd dismissed that sort of art as being weird...but after reading and looking at examples at the Guggenheim, I love it!
I love weird so this is right up my alley! How much of it do you have? I know I don't have anything that weird in my stash. You have set the bar way to high for the rest of us!
My goodness! It's totally cool, but definitely challenging for the ordinary quilter. You'll use it wisely. It looks like a Picasso painting viewed through a prism. :)
Perfect for a one block wonder and your 60 degree die! If you had the heart to cut it up and there was enough of it.....makes me wonder what is my "weirdest" fabric....
That is really striking! I can't wait to see what it wants to become :) Cut small or kept whole, it will definitely add interest. I really love it! As someone else said, I'm now wondering what my "weirdest" fabric is, too!
How very Picasso-ish! I have some fabrics that I have no clue what to do with, though none quite so exotic as this. I figure sooner or later it will come to me what to do. LOL
I love it! You're not going to cut it in small pieces, are you? Too cool.

ReplyDeleteHMMMM - so what's your plan??
ReplyDeleteIncredible... wherever did you find it?
ReplyDeleteWOW I love that, it reminds me of a Kandinsky painting (Russian Artist from the early 1900s)
ReplyDeleteHow big is that piece? It would make a great panel for a "modern" art quilt.

ReplyDeleteI also love it, just for being so completely different. I agree with Gene it needs to be part of an art quilt.
ReplyDeleteI think it should be framed. Love it! Do you remember where you bought this piece of fabric?
ReplyDeleteWould you believe I have some also but in a different color. It's been sitting in my stash a long time.

ReplyDeleteI agree with the others--it reminds me of Picasso. I would love to see what you do with this fabric.
ReplyDeleteWhat neat fabric!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous piece of fabric!
ReplyDeleteWhoa! That fabric is really different. I wonder what you were thinking you would use it for when you bought it? And, what will you use it for now?
ReplyDeleteWow! That is different! It would be a shame to cut it up!
ReplyDeleteNow that's my kind of print fabric. I LOVE it. I can't wait to see how you use it. In the 80s I would have made a jacket out of it.

ReplyDeleteI would love to get into the mind of this artist just to see what their thinking was . Lovely.....xx
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know if it is still available and from where it came!
ReplyDeleteI have that in bright yellow! It is definitely my weirdest fabric. I used it in challenge packets for my guild.
