I have a diamond Die too but haven't played with it yet. I've been toying with the idea of framing them too. I'll have to check to see what size diamond I get from my die. This should work up fairly quickly for you.
I just love that black and white quilt and the secondary design of stripes. The lime green is just a wonderful addition. I have done so many black and white quilts and this was one of the combos that I had used. The diamond quilt from Kaffe's book is just a fabulous pattern. That is exactly the way that I made mine, with the large die and it was quick and easy. A fun quilt. Aren't summer tomatoes the best?
I've only done one b/w quilt but have some fabric to do another. I just need some inspiration as to what I want to do with it. I do know, however, that I will use yellow with it, probably. Love the diamonds.
Love that punch of colour in your black and white quilt. The diamonds are fantastic too! They will make a quick and wonderful quilt. The tomato looks delicious! Gotta love those fresh summer tomatoes!
The green looks good with the black and white. I see you have succumbed to the lure of diamonds. That is great to cut them with the accuquilt cutter. Such gorgeous fabrics will be pretty no matter what.
The green looks great with the black and white. I love black and white! I think what is cool about this piece is the two middle fabrics blur and soften the overall design.
Loved the look of your black and white pieces from earlier--and they look great with the lime. (Of course they also look good with the tomato--perhaps tomato binding?) The diamonds are fun--I made Kaffe's quilt and started a 2nd one with the leftover pieces because I liked the first one so much With all your fabrics, yours will be gorgeous!
I see I'm not the only one who saw the color of the tomato - photographed against the white sill and gray/black screen, really show how good the tomato red looks against black and white. :)
It encourages me to see that you are working on more than one project at a time. :) The black & white is really nice and the diamonds are amazing, so big. The tomato isn't bad either. ;)
I love a pop of bright color with B&W! I love the green. Those diamonds are going to make a great quilt! We ate some of our first tomatoes last night! YUM!
Love the lime in your B&W, did you test hot pink? Yum, homegrown tomates, the real deal! Your diamonds will be fab coming out of your fabric collection.
Oooh, I'm lovin' that lime with the black and white! If I had a Go cutter I would have finished my diamond quilt by now. It's not as easy using a template.
I enjoy seeing your work every day. You are amazingly prolific! Love the new B&W and the diamonds. I don't always comment, but really, I love all your quilts.
I LIKE the acid green, or at least that's what it looks like on my computer. And those diamonds - WOW! How gorgeous, and they are big, too. This will be another masterpiece.
I planted Early Girl tomatoes this year, and they were good before the heat and drought.
I must get that book; I am a KF fan - I particularly love his knitting - although I find most of his quilts over-the-top. You seem to understand the spirit of the idea and make it work beautifully.
I love the lime green with the black and white. If I were making a black and white quilt with one color, lime would be my color. Love, love, love this!
Very nice green for the b/w quilt. And I love the diamond quilt idea. I have a very old Kaffee book that I haven't even used yet, but I know I have a few pages bookmarked for quilt ideas. Time to make something from it!
The color on the black and white quilt sure makes it all pop. The tomato looks yummy. I noticed Japanese beetles (at least 10)all over a weed in the garden. I have to figure out how to get the weed out with the beetles attached. For now they are feeding on the weed so it is ok. Oh BTW, I still have the Baltimore Oriele's feeding in my yard. Stay cool today it is going to be another hot one.

ReplyDeleteThose diamonds are a great way to show wonderful fabrics.
Black and white in a green edge! I saw grey cobblestones in Monrose Abbey, surrounded by grass, and thought of you...

ReplyDeleteThose diamonds are impressive!
Enjoy the tomato!

More yummy stuff. Nothing like fresh tomatoes from the garden, never mind fresh ideas from Wanda's prolific studio!

ReplyDeleteCan I use the diamond die on my Accuquilt Go? I have always wanted to do the Kaffe diamonds - love the black and white w green.
ReplyDeleteWished I had a diamond die when I made this pattern - looks great, have fun.
