More zebra fabric, a walk in the garden............

Here are a few of the more colorful zebra prints.  I see I cut off the head on the one on the bottom right.  It is a print that you would swear is tapestry fabric until you touch it and it is ordinary quilting fabric.
This is another group of fabric I found on the shelf.  It is similar to shot cotton as it is metallic thread one direction and cotton thread the other.  If you click on the photo to enlarge you will see the shine.

I put these 4 pots in the corner for protection from the winter weather and I had forgotten what was in them.  Obviously one is a hosta but I haven't checked the others yet.

The cranesbill in the west garden is big and bushy and has buds on it.  We just need some warm days and it will be blooming.

This is one of the early hostas in the same bed.  You can see another in the top right corner.  That is what most of the other hostas look like right now.

The periwinkle vinca blooms off and on even in the winter so I can't call it one of my early spring flowers.  We got more rain last night.  Now we need a few sunny days but it sounds like a week of rain.

  2. The fabric with the little bit of metallic is just beautiful! Amazing how the hosta came back in the pot. I have been noticing here just over the past day or two that things are starting to come alive. Our vinca is blooming too.

  3. You sure have a lot of zebra fabric! I like the piece you showed yesteday with the zebra with red stripes. I spent a half an hour in a light rain spraying weed killer on the dandelions and then it just poured again. I guess I will have repeat that process! It is just so wet it is hard to walk around the yard and we are suppose to get storms again today around noon.

  5. it is always a pretty time of year when the plants start to grow - I spend less and less time in the house and more time in the yard. Except it is way too wet here to do that right now!!

  6. I love springtime when everything comes back to life. Your zebra fabrics are beautiful. You were collecting zebra fabrics long before I even thought about quilting.

  7. Those zebra fabrics are gorgeous! Love the richness of the colours. The other fabrics are gorgeous. Love metallic glints in a fabric!
We're getting rain, rain and more rain, so I imagine we'll see lots starting to come up and open -- at least I hope so!

Our plants are exploding in blooms now. It's great fun to discover the new blossoms each day.

  9. We would definitely take some of that rain if you'd like to swap it for some of our warm weather and sunshine. LOL
