I had to hurry and finish the strata for the green Trip Around the World quilt because the class is today.
Then I started cutting for 2 of the Kaffe quilts that I want to make. It will take over 2 weeks to cut all of the fabric.
This pair of cardinals wouldn't stand still for a photo shoot. This is the best shot I got with mama with a seed in her mouth. I'm going to have to put my boots on to wade through the snow drift to fill the feeders later today.

Wanda, I have decided you are the most prolific quilter out in the blog world. I am amazed at all you get done -- plus I am way past envy over all your fabric but that's another thing all together. I don't know what Kaffe quilt you're doing, but 2 weeks of cutting is some serious stuff. Can't wait.
Have fun teaching your class today. We saw about 30 Robins the other day at the bank and unfortunately I didn't have my camera. Way too early for them.

LOVE the penguin journal quilt ! Adorable, stars in the night and the snow fabrics are perfect. Like any artist you have such a wonderful stash at your fingertips.

I wonder why cardinals stay east of the Mississippi ? We sure could use some color here in our valley.
Although I get all excited when I get a Stellar Jay (brilliant blue) at our feeders.
We have had lots of cardinal couples at our feeder the past few days..... they can be so territorial, can't they. But I don't mind..... love seeing the chickadees and juncos also. A big blue jay frightened everyone away yesterday and again, I couldn't get to the camera quick enough. Am so happy the gold finches finally noticed their feeder full of thistle seed. On Thursday, a big red tail hawk swooped down to get one of the many doves feeding on the ground. He missed his prey but not before both of them flew into the patio door. Ouch. The birds are so fun to watch!
