I had a plan......

My plan was to come home from the 4 hour class yesterday afternoon, fix something to eat and then sew.
But I was exhausted so I read 2 magazines and stared at my fabric piles.
So, enjoy the work of 3 of my students.  I forgot to take a photo of the fourth one.  The fifth student was sick and couldn't come.

  1. Nice colors and a lot of sewing.
Your students are fortunate to have a good teacher.

  6. All are wonderful, and show that the students have been listening carefully to your lessons about color gradation. They will certainly have marvelous quilts when they are finished. + 1 on Gene's comment!

  7. nice, nice colors for all of those quilts - I would hate to be the one to match up all those seams though! I think that must be one of the parts of making a quilt top that I like the least!

  8. Love the way the fabrics make it look like a colorwash quilt. I love that style! Your students have a good eye for color; keep up the great work of teaching them to love the entire process...

  9. Well, after a four hour class you SHOULD take it easy.

I love these quilts but I do love the middle one the best because of the colors. It has the blue sky and sunshine right in it that I've been longing for these past two months.

Trip Around the World has been one of my favorites from the time I started quilting.

  11. Great class, Wanda! I love them all, but the third one speaks to me the loudest... I guess it's because it has a more definite color separation.

  12. I love this pattern so much! I wish I had the energy to try it. I have 1 Kaffe Fasset jelly roll and I'm tempted to order another one to do this.
I'm sure if I did a four hour class, I wouldn't even have the energy to post about it afterward.

  13. These speak well of your teaching. Great work. I would have trouble picking which I like best because they all have a different alure.

  19. They got a lot done! Glad you got some rest. Sometimes you just have to let go for a little while.

  21. My LOE group is going to be working on "Trips" soon so I sent some of them over to your blog to see the inspiration! It's such a fun (and therapeutic) quilt to make.
