I only got one more journal cover made yesterday. I couldn't decide how to quilt it and then I decided on wavy overlapping lines.
The cover can be put on either way with horizontal or vertical stripes on the front.
I spent some time writing a blog post for Stash Manicure, where I was invited to be a guest blogger. My post will be there tomorrow (Thursday), so be sure to check it out.
Great finish and I will be sure to pop over to Stash Manicure to read your post.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the invitation! Are you sure you can keep it to ONE day's worth of ideas?

Love the stripy border! I think the wavy lines were a great choice. I will check out Stash Manicure.
ReplyDeleteI am loving your quilted journal covers! I made some one year for the granddaughters using this pattern here, recently I saw this pattern, but haven't tried it yet. Yours are so colorful, like everything on your blog, love it!
ReplyDeleteI really like the choice of fabrics, esp. the outside batik fabric. The wavy quilting..... that is perfect for this piece!
ReplyDeleteShould I send you my address for this one?? :)

Cute cover, Wanda. I love your blog, I'm just too much of a lurker. However, when I looked at your weather and saw 20! OMG, I just had to write some sympathy for you. I'm in San Diego and we are freezing at 68. LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm just getting caught up on some blog reading, wow your book covers are gorgeous, as usual. I was thinking about you the other day when I looked at a couple of books that need covers. I haven't got the mojo for these right now, but your posts have got me excited about them again. Thanks for sharing

ReplyDeleteWanda, my Christmas cactus does not even have one blossom this year. The poor thing hasn't grown at all this year. Maybe I do not give it enough attention.
