No sewing.............

We switched our long arm/midarm group meeting to the second Wed. instead of Tues.  This month the first Tues. (QOV sew in) and second Wed. fell in the same week so it has been a busy week.  We meet at a fabric store that always has a large section of fabrics for $3.99 a yard.  Here are 2 of my purchases.

I went to the movies with my youngest granddaughter (14) and we saw "Harry Potter".  I thought it was excellent.  I have read all of the books and now I want to go back and read this last one over again.

  1. I love your new fabrics! $3.99 a yard - wow! On my fabric shopping bus trip to Lancaster, PA last year, for some reason most of the batiks I bought were some shade of pink or green.

  11. Great shopping. Nothing warms our quilting hearts more than gorgeous fabrics for a reduced price.

Sounds like a special time at the movies. Harry Potter fans span the full range of movie goers, don't they? How wonderful to share that interest with your granddaughter.

  12. Love the fabric! I've seen the movies but not read the books which is unusual for me because i read a lot. I'm looking forward to seeing this last movie. I usually go with my daughter but she's in S Korea.

  15. Wanda,
Like many others, I love the green- the pink is very pretty too but the green is stunning. I do love the blue green combination with that salt dye look.
Finding great fabrics for great prices is one of my favorite things- especially when they are batiks.
I have read the first Harry book and enjoyed it. What a nice time you and your granddaughter had together.
There is nothing better than some fun time spent with family.
    Warmest regards,
    Anna
