Mighty Migraine........

Our weather changed yesterday.  After a long dry spell we got some rain.........and I got a migraine.  I laid low most of the day and finally by evening the pain was gone so I got out the little bags with scraps and made some more log cabin squares.
My TV screen had a message on it for 24 hours saying programming would resume shortly.  I decided after 10 hours it was time to call.  They gave me a choice of returning the box at my closest office (25 miles away) or having a tech come out to see what was wrong.  I couldn't see wasting an hour and half of time and driving 50 miles round trip.  Of course it meant a little clean up time...............but I needed to do that any way. Yesterday morning the cable guy came and swapped out a bad digital box for a good one.

  1. So glad you are feeling better. One of my relatives had a similar response to the weather change. Ouch.

  2. Felt blah all day yesterday. Figured it was the weather. I need to get back at the machine. The blocks you are making are real enticing. Chris

  3. Glad to hear that the pain left by evening. I hate having a headache. Mine are sometimes very migraine like - light and sound sensitive etc.

  4. I am with Gene. I hate having a headache. I can never figure out what exactly causes it. Of course women of a certain age are prone to that kind of thing.

  7. We have now gone over 60 days with no measurable precipitation . . . it's been predicted several times, but hasn't happened. We get the pressure change but no rain ~ arrrrrgh. Needless to say, none of us can water enough (we've lost several azaleas and and 4 holly bushes twice (two plantings this season). And now they've suggested we'll have a warm dry winter.

Happy to see you felt better enough by day's end to play with some scraps . . . and best wishes with your cable box!!!

  8. Typical--someone supplies you with a defective piece of equipment, and you are expected to go out of your way to deal with it. How sad yours is not a unique story.
Hopefully the headache stays away, and hopefully you are a satisfied customer now.

  12. Our weather changed in the same manner as yours, and I had a migraine last evening, too. Curious, I was blaming food additives from a dinner out two nights previous. Glad you are feeling better - they are really awful, aren't they? Back to sewing!

  13. Glad you felt well enough to make some more of those cute little blocks. I love those. Our weather always seems to be a day later than yours. We had rain all day today. We could not see the tops of the buildings in downtown Toronto because of the clouds.

  14. Global migraene. My husband had that yesterday. Due to the weather, he said. I know about it, too, but not with pain, with a vertigo instead. Don't envy me!
