Here is the last combination of fabrics that I chose.
All of the blocks are up on the design wall but I can see a couple I have to move. With 3 blocks of each set of fabrics, it is a challenge to not get 2 of them in the same area or row. There are 63 blocks, 8" finished block size, 56" x 72". I wonder if I could stick with the triangles long enough to make the second border a sawtooth one?
Last night Dad had all three of his kids at the apartment for a meal. He was smiling!

Wonderful when they can smile like that. I am sure it meant a lot to him to have you all together. The blocks are really neat on the wall. Hope you can rearrange them to your liking. Chris
A Saw Tooth border would look great!!
Oh yes, I think a sawtooth border would be beautiful! How wonderful for your Dad to have all the kids there!
It's a terrific quilt, Wanda.
Love your quilt and how terrific that your dad had such a nice evening with all of you.
It looks wonderful.
It's amazing how difficult it is to get a whole family together once the kids are grown. Fun when it happens though.
I'm so glad you were all there with your dad and he enjoyed it so. What a wonderful memory and what a wonderful feeling to know you made him so happy!
so very pretty!! I love it, nice for your father to have all of you together.

I'd love to see a sawtooth border, but I'll leave that up to the quilt and you. How nice for your Dad to have all of his children together for a meal. It makes me smile just thinking about it.
The quilt is looking wonderful so far. A sawtooth border would be great but what a lot of work - go for it!
I can imagine how thrilled your dad was to have all the kids under his roof.
The blocks look fabulous. It is a really nice size too.
Oh, I love it when the whole family can come together !
Praise the LORD !
That's getting to be another striking quilt ! Great job.
I really love this quilt now! And it will get even better.
My dad asked for all of us to be in FL for his 85th a few years back. By then, we knew my brother would probably not be there for his 90th, so we all made an effort. And you're right......he smiled all weekend.
What a fabulous quilt. Make me think of dappled sunshine.
How lovely for your dad and all of you -- to see your father smile like that must have given you all a wonderful feeling!
....sigh....yes...I'm inspired once again! I agree about a saw-
tooth border!
Beautiful - that's all that needs to be said!
This is gorgeous, I see a few moves too. Yes, you can stick with the pieced border, that would really make this sing. Glad your dad had a good night last night!
This is fabulous...just love the movement all the colors create. Border or not, I love it.
It has been a treat to watch this one grow. For me it is like 'shadows in the moon light'.
Good to hear your Dad enjoyed having his children around him.
