Yesterday was our last nice day for awhile. Humidity and rain are predicted for several days in a row. I lucked out with the grass though. Without rain all week it didn't grow so I won't have to mow until at least the middle of next week. I baked cookies since it would be the last day without the air conditioning.
Today is my 3rd Blogiversary. On the 4th of July, 2007 I ventured into the world of blogging and it has enriched my life. I always kept diaries as a child, and now this is a diary of sorts that I have been writing with a bunch of people reading over my shoulder. I have enjoyed the interaction with a lot of the commenters as we email back and forth and discuss our quiltmaking and life in general. Thank you, all of you, for reading my blog.

ReplyDeleteHi Wanda, Congratulations on the blogiversary. Blogging has made a big difference in my life too. Not that this would work for everyone, but I gave up antidepressants and started writing (well, sewing and taking pictures mostly), and I have never looked back and never wrote another check to a head doctor. I am convinced once a woman becomes too distanced from creating, she loses her true self and that causes great distress. Karmen

congrats on the anniversary! I too read over your shoulder. I love the way you put color together. I am more conservative and I think that is why I like your quilts better! LOL I am learning through you to use color in different ways.

Happy Blogiversary! I'm relatively new to your blog, but enjoy it very much. By the way, I made a baby quilt last year with 2x4" rectangles - wish I had thought to use strips as you did. But now I want to make another, YOUR way!
