400,000th visitor today

I have to do some sewing today.  I was sidetracked too much this week.  It was a hot sticky day yesterday for the garage sale and I was totally wiped out after I closed the door.  I got rid of a ton of stuff but didn't get rich.  I had about 60 record albums from the 1950's-1970's.  I had them marked 25 cents each (and this is their second garage sale).  No one even looked at them and one guy came in and said he would give me $10 for all of them.  I was so glad to get them out of my garage.  I have kept a few of my favorites but I won't miss the rest.

Today my 400,000th visitor will read my blog.  I don't know if I will be able to tell where they are from because sitemeter has 'unknown' for about half of the visitors.  I can tell what their IP address is and what browser and version they use, and whether they have a PC or Mac but may not know where they are from.  I am only telling you this because even if I wanted to send them a little gift, I can't usually identify them.

  2. Glad you got rid of stuff. I have stuff to. But I am not a brave person to do a sale. My son says after I am gone it will all go to the landfil. LOL Chris

  6. that is a lot of visits to your site. I don't have a sitemeter on mine.
I hope you didn't have any really treasures in that box of records. Some are supposed to be worth money but how would we know unless we do a lot of research! I would just be glad to have them out of the garage too.

  7. Wonderful! There is absolutely no doubt in my mind why you have so many visitors, you have a great blog and are full of inspiration. So congratulations!! So funny that you had so many albums. We do too, but can't seem to part with them yet. Mostly it is the hubby, I wouldn't mind if I could get rid of them.

  41. Wow, you've had a lot of visitors! And it's easy to see why...you have such beautiful quilts and plants to see here! Thank you for sharing them with us. (I visit often, even though I don't always comment.)

Doesn't it feel good to get rid of so much stuff? I need to do that. Maybe when the weather stays nice this summer I can spend some time in the garage sorting and culling. Garage sales are hard though. I think I'll just donate my "stuff".

  42. Hi Wanda,
    Congrats on your high readership.
You have shown me lots, including being brave enough to cut into those beautiful Kaffe and batik fabrics!
Take it easy today in the heat/humidity.

  43. Wanda, don't I seam like your 400,000? HA!

  44. Congrats on the milestone visitor - but even more congrats for surviving the garage sale (they DO take a LOT of work for sometimes not very much money).

We had a similar situation with LP records at our sales ... no one seems remotely interested (so, where are those crafty folks who make bowls out of old records?).

  45. Wish you could have been with me today. My sister and friend and I went on a garden tour. The first 4 were o.k. BUT ~ ~ ~ the last one we went too was outstanding. We decided not to go onto the remaining gardens, because we knew we would be disappointed. NO photo's allowed otherwise I would be sending you photo's from that garden.

And to come home and see your porch planter ended my day with a smile. Fit right in with my tour today.

400,000 visitors is something to be proud of. And to get rid of a lot at your garage sale, that was taking up space in your garage has to feel good too.
