Playing with blocks

I was going through some piles of blocks and decided these 2 groups will be the next table runner candidates that I practice my quilting on. The are left over from this quilt that I made almost 2 years ago. I need to square up the blocks and maybe add a log on the edge of a couple of them to get them up to the right size.

I hung a large seed cake in a cage yesterday and the furry friends have found it already.
We have about 3" of snow on the ground and now they are predicting freezing rain starting tonight and all day Thurs. I hope it gets warmer than they are predicting and then it will be just plain rain. I would rather have snow than ice any day. Luckily our party isn't until Sat.

I agree on the snow over rain, lovely colors in your log cabin blocks.

I had heard you were getting that weather and then we are getting it after you. Ice storms are the pits. Although I don't like either, I would definitely take the snow. Love the newest table runner.

I hope you don't have rain and ice, either. Gotta love how the squirrels manage to find everything and eat it!

Pretty blocks. We are in a weather advisory, rain today and snow for Chrismas Eve and Christmas. They are saying blizzard conditions.

Fun table runner in the making. Loved the quilt they came from with the brillant purple/turquoise border.

You have way more snow than we do, we have patches from where it was shoveled from the deck and walks, othere wise it is frozen green grass out there. But the "weather guessers" tell us single digit over night temps are on their way back again. I had one of those wire cages for the suet cake and the squirrels bit right through the wire and opened it up to their liking.
