I took my book down to the basement with me this time to remind me of some more ways to lay out the blocks. I think the dominant color here is purple because I see purple pinwheels when I first look at it.Blocks of color.
Center square with vibrating rounds.
I rotated a few of the corner blocks to get the bands across the corners.
Just like a log cabin barn raising pattern. We had severe weather warnings last evening but the storms passed quickly and we got rain and the tornado warnings were south and east of us. Severe storms are the ones that usually produce migraines so I hope I'm lucky this time and don't get one.
we had a bit of rain and wind here at my daughters in Wisconsin also last night. My last day here is today and I fly home tomorrow and get back into my routine that doesn't involve children!(which means it is quite) Karen http://karensquilting.com/blog/
It is unreal how many designs you can make with those beautiful blocks. I would really have trouble deciding which one I liked best. I would never get them sewn together. I would just play with them everyday.
That green absolutely glows while the purple looks like a gorgeous rich velvet! I love all those layouts -- must be hard to decide on which one to use! We've got the wind and I've got the migraine. Yuck!
Ooooh - pinwheels pinwheels pinwheels! Either that or the green on purple diamonds at the bottom. I like the really strong contrast and clear geometric pattern. But I'm feeling very chaos-averse at the moment. As usual, you will instinctively pick the best one.
Thank you so much for sharing all of your quilt layouts with us. Your colors are fantastic! I really like this purple and green combo. Have a great day.
