Another journal cover.....................I learned a lot on the first one with the selvages so this one was fun to make. Here is the open view, front and back. It is headed to CA to its new owner.I went to a 50th anniversary party for friends yesterday afternoon and connected with people I hadn't see for quite a few years. It finally turned warm in the afternoon so the party outside was comfortable. It is only 50 degrees out this morning. It definitely feels like fall.

Oh! This is gorgeous...........I am simply going to HAVE to make one for myself. :-)
Your journal covers are so yummy! And inspiring. Every time you post pics of them, I want to run out and make one.
Fifty degrees in the morning, huh? That really is a major change in temperature.
Great journal cover! Love the Kaffes. It feels like fall here too. Went to an outdoor concert last night and I wore a fleece and gloves. To think it is still summer???
I really like the journal cover, it looks like a great gift.
50 degrees? WOW! This is my first summer in SW Florida and it is still HOT.
What fun!! I need to make one of these. It is cooling off here too, supposed to be about 56 this morning, though I haven't checked. Love this weather. We have had an enjoyable summer here in Iowa.
Cheerful Sunday post. I always enjoy the fabrics you put together that make the piece an original.

Love your journal cover! So inspirational! It's getting cooler here too. I am still waiting for summer to arrive. We have not had much hot weather this year.
Nice journal cover. Great mix of fabric and color!
Very yummy fabrics!
You should show these to Karen Griska who has a blog devoted to selvadges.
Love the selvage journal cover. What a great way to use up those selvages. 50 degrees! Oh that sounds lovely!!!
What a beautiful journal cover, I am definately going to have to start saving my selvages for this. Who knew they could turn out so cute!? It's still a 110 degrees here in Phoenix (the land of never ending summer), I can only wish it was fall already!
Your journal covers are real treats! I do adore that Vanilla 9 patch, though I note it has a new name!
Hi Wanda,
It sounds like the vanilla quilt found a new home and it will be appreciated.
As for the journal cover -- wow! The matchy-matchy crowd probably won't get it, but I think it looks fab.

WOW! You are just going to town on the journal covers! Love the idea of adding selvedges. I saved one selvedge that I liked and now I know what I will do with it. Thanks for sharing.
