Final border.........
I didn't press it yet, just stitched and took a picture. The binding will probably be the same dark purple.
We had a lot of rain late Monday and an overcast day yesterday so the flower bed was still pretty wet. I went out anyway and picked 2 more bouquets. I took the picture last night so today the flowers will be opened to full size and will fill out the bouquet.

  6. The quilt looks great! I can always tell when it is going to rain. As soon as the Peonies start to bloom the rain comes and beats them to the ground. At least I don't feel so bad about picking them to bring inside.

  15. Did that scrap of fabric just happen to be next to that vase of peonies as it has all the same colors and tones and values!

    The purple batik is just perfect.

    And for some reason it looks even better when the picture is clicked to make it bigger (the bigger picture seems to suck you right into the middle of the quilt top).

    Peony's are just beautiful. When you have a minute could you tell me what kind they are. There are several varieties out there and I want those like yours that mom use to have.
