Burnell, my mother, 1918-2009
My mother passed away this evening, May 17th. This is her wedding picture 72 years ago. She was 18 years old and moved from the big city to become a farmer's wife.
I will be absent from my blog for a couple days. We haven't figured out whether Dad can live alone so we have some planning to do.

  11. Oh Wanda, please know I am thinking of you and sending my most sincere prayers for you. My mother died a year ago this month so I can relate to what you are going through. I hope it was peaceful. She was such a beautiful lady with a sweet and generous daughter. My deepest sympathies are with you at this time.

  13. What a lovely picture of your mom. Our mother is really our longest relationship and I know when my mother died I felt like an orphan at 50. I hope that knowing so many care is some comfort to you. We care!

  105. I'm deeply saddened by your sudden loss. It must've stunned your family when your Mom passed.

    My Mom's got dementia, so her mind's been failing for years. She's lived with me for the last 8 yrs.
