I have one more full block, 2 half light blocks and then the most dreaded part, making half blocks divided crosswise. I may try a print fabric there instead. I posted yesterday about the program I am giving next Monday night. I have already shown all of the quilts on my blog in the 21 months and over 700 posts. You can see all of them by going into the archives. It is going to be a trunk show and not a display with lots of quilts hanging so it is impossible to post pictures of the program without the post being a mile long.
Really love your quilts.. would love to see them in person! Wish I lived close enough to see your trunk show. Will just have to enjoy your work on this blog. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteOh, I would definitely be looking for a companionable fabric for the setting triangles . . . but then, you like math a whole lot more than I do. Love the way this one is turning out!! I'd love to come to your program but the commute would be just a tad too long :-(
ReplyDeleteTired of this? Not at all, Wanda. I love it. This has been interesting. Keep it coming, please! I love all those greens.
ReplyDeleteJust one thing, though. I question the placement of that top right half-square triangle with the light center. If what I'm looking at on the screen is real, then it doesn't look to me like it belongs there. Are you having a border and do you know yet what it is yet?
I haven't tired of any of your quilts yet, why start now :)
ReplyDeleteWanda, it is really helpful to see the design process at work. Sometimes all we see are finished products and it is really fun and interesting to get in the mind of an experienced quilter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing with us!
Nope, I'm not tired of this at all. I love the colors and I am enjoying watching it grow.
ReplyDeleteWanda, this is beautiful. I love keeping up on its progress! There's so much movement with all those greens! Great contrast!
ReplyDeleteThis is turning out great.Keep the pictures coming.
ReplyDeleteIt's such a treat watching this quilt grow. Fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to come to the trunk show but the drive would be impossibly long! :-)
It is most fun to see your projects grow, I never tire of seeing progression steps. Lady of the Lake is growing into a gorgeous creation.

Love this cool colored quilt as well. Am not tired of it either.
ReplyDeleteWish I could see your show. I am sure all there will really enjoy it!
I love your quilt in progress. I just love the variety of greens. I understand you are reluctant to make the blocks divided crosswise. I would LOVE to see how this quilt would look w/ those blocks divided crosswise. I know it may seem like a pain. How about making the full block and then cutting off what you do not need for it. I know it seems at first glance like a lot of waste but then I would set the leftovers in the backing of the quilt. The whole blocks don't seem to scare you in the least bit. You have worked so hard.......just a few more steps. You can do it!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful quilt (in the making). Green is my favorite color and your combination of greens looks great.
ReplyDeleteThat dark block on the upper left takes my eye there every time, and I have to concentrate to see the whole thing in pattern.
ReplyDeleteMaybe that should be at the bottom left to match it's brother down there? and the lower right move to the upper left?
I can't remember what you call it, but it's trees in the forest to me. *S*.....another good job
I'm not tired of it at all. It's fun to get a peek into somebody else's thinking processes.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy watching the quilt grow; it's more interesting as you add more and more blocks. Keep 'em coming! And have a great time next Monday!
ReplyDeleteI love reading about your quilt progress. You quilt colour combinations are spectacular and I love to come here to get inspiration of colour.
ReplyDeleteI especially love this green..for some reason, green is not a colour I would normally pick, but after seeing this, I think I may add some greens to my stash.
I agree with all the others, Wanda. I never tire of watching you create these works of art. I learn so much from watching the process and following along as you try out different combinations. It's like you are my private tutor!!
ReplyDeleteI'm OK with a mile long post. ;-)
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to watch it grow. I never tire of it.
ReplyDeleteNature doesn't grow tired of green, does she?
