It was raining for quite awhile last night, even past midnight, and I thought maybe we wouldn't get the snow after all. It must have turned cold enough though. The forsythia is blooming; flowers in the snow. The squirrel is busy eating out of the bird feeder and greedy guy that he is, he is dropping a lot to the ground so the birds just sit and wait for their food. There is another squirrel in the background too, waiting his turn at the feeder.
It looks like 3" or so from inside the house and it looks heavy and wet, just like they predicted. It is still coming down and the city has plowed the street already this morning. If all the rain we got had been snow it would have been more than a foot deep, so we are lucky. It looks like a good sewing day.
it was so cold and windy and rainy/snow flurries here yesterday that I stayed in just about all day and got some applique and baking done. Hopefully that will be the last snow of the season for you. Karen http://karensquilting.com/blog/
We can call today's snow, winter's last "Hurrah"..and a good day to stay in quilting. Bright colors for a gloomy day. Your strips and curves have me thinking of doing another one after I finish the last one I made a few years ago. Where does the time go? Louise
Originally they had forecast snow for us too, now I think they are talking about tomorrow. It was beautiful yesterday & today looks like more of the same.
Your pictures are pretty, at least we know it won't last too long now!
Is it really Spring??? The wind is blowing hard here, it's cold and on top of all that a snow storm is expected by tonight that's supposed to dump another 4-6 along the benches;(
I looked out the window at 4am, and it was just beginning to snow. It's so SLOPPY out there; thank the goddess I don't need to go out anywhere. It's still doing something that looks like snow/rain outside.
We were supposed to get some of that stuff, but lucky us, most of the day we had very faint snow (couldn't hardly see it) and nothing stuck to the ground.
Your photos are beautiful but it's ugly out there! I'm with you Wanda, the weather is the perfect excuse for staying inside and making art!
ReplyDeleteQui da noi ormai รจ primavera. Bello vedere che da voi nevica!!!

ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe it snowed there! This is one time I hope that we don't get your weather tomorrow. The pictures are beautiful though.

ReplyDeleteI'm sure the forsythia won't agree with me, but those pictures are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteTake good care, however!
I'll be right over with my shovel (not)

I can't believe how much snow you got!!! We were supposed to get a lot of rain, but that didn't even happen here. It was a bit windy but ...
ReplyDeleteEvidently everyone is having weather issues... and it's supposed to be headed this way.
ReplyDeleteI think that snow is headed our way. Not what they need in Fargo right now.
