Ready for binding

I finally finished quilting this Star Trip. I started the quilting over a month ago, maybe 2 months ago. I finished trimming it last night and it is ready for binding. Here is the whole quilt on my basting table several months ago.

We have rain in the forecast for part of the day of the next 7 days. However those weathermen will change their mind most likely. We are in the hot part of the country until that cool front gets here. At least we are only near 90 each day, not like the 100's predicted for some of the south. I'm sure people with pools are happy with this early heat wave.

  1. Your exuberant colors always make me smile. I did click back and look at top on your basting table. It has a 4th of July look to it with all the stars and pinwheel border. Just great!

  2. I just love stars on quilts, but I have yet to find the perfect way to make them. I'm hoping the Thangles will help me on the next one I do.
You should be living closer to the lake. *S*...it's only gotten into the low 80's here. But the wind is just driving me crazy. I can't keep my windows open more than a crack on the south side cause it just blows things around.

  4. At the mention of such heat, I become grateful we are in winter mode. It is really very pleasant, & not even that cold!

  5. The star quilt is wonderful. You have done it again, another winner. I like the batik quilt that was in the previous post with the star quilt. Did you finish that one? We still have overcast, cold mornings with some sun in the afternoons. And I am still wearing sweatshirts.

  6. I like it! Love that border fabric, too. We didn't have internet for most of yesterday because lately it's been going out every time it rains. We did have a river in our backyard, however! Who eneds a swimming pool? :0

  9. I love your blog! This star quilt is just divine. I also looked at some of your older posts, I loved the black and white fabrics! I have always loved black and whites, I have tons of stash to prove it. Have yet to do anything with it!
