My first year anniversary on my blog is July 4, one week away. I know I want to do some kind of giveaway but I can't seem to figure out what. If you were the winner would you want: 1. a fiber postcard 2. a box of my batik scraps 3. a box of my regular fabric scraps 4. a mini wallhanging 5. ???????
If you won would you like to take your choice?
Please give me some ideas, however wild they may seem.
Although I love your choices of fabrics and would love to just run my hands through a box of your scraps, I think a mini wallhanging or fiber postcard (a finished item) would serve me better (and not add to my clutter). I love that baby quilt. I have lately been doing bright prints for babies, not the pastels of my youth. Keep the "eye candy" coming.
Wanda, Just keep your blog up and running... I check it almost every day and it is a bright spot in my day. Your colors have always been inspirational.
A fiber postcard! It would be a treasure for the recipient, and hopefully easy and fun for you! I love your blog, too, Wanda. You are a bright spot in the day, and an inspiration to be sure.
Here's a wild one for you - how about an all expenses paid visit to your studio!!! LOL (btw I live in New Zealand!) Seriously - a fibre postcard is a great idea, something to keep and treasure.
I think I agree with most and feel that a fiber postcard would be wonderful. Not too much work for you, and something to treasure for the winner. And, happy blogiversary!
keep up your blog it is so inspirational to me. I love your color/fabric choices...hmmm which gift hard choice. mini wall hanging would be awesome to own one of your quilts... the batik scraps cause they are so out of my comfort zone! regular scraps are they repro's from the 1800's or 30's that would be MY comfort zone and fun to see yours... see hard to choose :) Happy 4th. our anny 21 years this year. I too have enjoyed your blog with both quilts and flower garden. It is a source of inspiration for me. And my choice would be the mini wallhanging as I would love to have some of your terrific quilting.
Most of all, keep posting!! I cannot describe how wonderful it is to pop in during the workday ~ what a colorful and inspirational way to feed the "other side" of my brain!
For giveaway - (1) wallhanging, (2) fiber postcard, (3) batik scraps
And please enter my name into that drawing for round trip expenses paid visit to your studio :-}
I agree with the "keep posting" choices! If I did win this giveaway, anything would be fine. Your scraps are delicious, batik would be good, but anything that you make would be a treasure also. So if I win, surprise me. And if I ever get to IL again, I will surprise you!!
I'm a day late! Having no internet access for the last 1.5 days means I have some catching up to do. I have read your latest post too and I think you are on the right track.
I'm definitely voting for the mini wallhanging -- I like things that don't turn into more UFOs!

Ooooooh! What a choice! I think a wall hanging would be immediate gratification, but your scraps, batik or otherwise would be scrumptious too!
ReplyDeleteWhile all of the suggestions would be appreciated, I love other quilters' scraps!

Anything that shows off your wonderful sense of color (which covers all of the options) would be a treasure.
