The Weather outside was frightful

This is the scene looking out my front door. If you have heard about the storm predicted for the Chicago area, yes, we are getting it. It is very beautiful and I'm glad I can stay inside today.

  1. Uh oh. That means it is probably headed our way. We have been having thunderstorms lately and the rain has washed the last batch of snow away.

  2. I live right near the lake and the Evanston border. We're getting mostly ice crystals at this poing. Not much snow at all, but wind of course. With the wind in the east, I'm surprised we're not getting lake effect.

  3. Wanda, at an inch per hour of snow, we are stuck in like it or not. Been working on my journal and decided to do whimsy. Flora and Fairy, I need a bit of fantasy right now.

  4. I'm glad you're indoors, too. We had horrible storms here last night (check the link on my blog for some VERY scary, sometimes twin twisters, tornado pics)

My sister is expecting 9-12 inches of snow where she is in Michigan...

    Take care!

Glad you can stay indoors & keep cosy during the storm.

  8. I love winter white when the snow is still falling...makes me want to put the hot chocolate on and snuggle up in a chair by the window and just watch it fall.
