Sorting through the pieces

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes. It was like opening the mailbox and finding a pile of cards.

I sorted through some piles and found this group of colorwash pieces waiting to be quilted. They are all small and if I got busy, not one of them would take over 2 or 3 hours to finish. I guess I need to start a "to do" list and stick to it. The little piece on the right in the bottom row has squares that finish at 1".

  1. You certainly are an expert at colorwash. I really like the B&W fabric on the lower left one.

  2. A belated Happy Birthday to you. I had no idea of your age, but I thought you were in your 40s, because of your energy and exhuberance!

Love the 14 year old photo - I think at 14, I was still trying to go shirtless, like my brothers, who always had such interesting things to do. Can you imagine that today? the parents would be arrested! LOL

  3. Oh yes, I highly recommend making quilting "to do" lists. I LOVE making quilting "to do" lists.

Sticking to a list, eh, that's optional.

Nice, classic watercolors. Watercolor miniatures, almost, if I've got the scale right. Definitely worth finishing!

  4. Those are lovely examples of colourwash.
I am not religious in any sense, but I am so drawn to the 'cross'!

  5. Wanda - how large is the small one in the lower right corner? If it is 9" x 12" or less, it would make an AWESOME Priority Quilt for AAQI. Exquisite colors!
