I got 4" of light fluffy snow yesterday. My neighbor, Becky, texted me and said she would come over and help me shovel my driveway. We got mine done so we went and did her driveway. Her driveway is half the size of mine. Then we decided we would go and shovel Dave's driveway since he tore his ACL and shouldn't be out plowing snow even with his snow blower. An hour and a half later we called it a day but not before Becky tried out my shovel and decided she needed a new one. When we traded shovels - I plowed the snow and she toss the snow - I could not believe how heavy her shovel was! It had a thick wooden handle and then a metal scoop part. No wonder she was grunting!
She has decided she needs a new snow shovel. patty a.https://www.blogger.com/profile/01861433552460661701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4049103935243328127.post-751504190995481612022-01-24T06:53:43.635-06:002022-01-24T06:53:43.635-06:00Hi Wanda, I love seeing your design process as alw...Hi Wanda, I love seeing your design process as always. Some of my favorite fabrics in your blocks! I'm working on a quilt along using all solid fabrics. I love quilts with solids but usually use prints so this is a fun challenge. We just switched to online only for our newspaper and we enjoy it! No more going out in the cold for the paper and it is so much cheaper too!Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03527505463760502930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4049103935243328127.post-45309930427685656652022-01-24T06:52:57.862-06:002022-01-24T06:52:57.862-06:00Lots of decisions on this one..I like all the bloc...Lots of decisions on this one..I like all the blocks really..but getting them to play well together is the challenge i understand...
hugs, JulieroseJulierosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04079686021190332890noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4049103935243328127.post-50937473811450022692022-01-24T06:34:27.750-06:002022-01-24T06:34:27.750-06:00I like the mixture of blocks but to me I like the ...I like the mixture of blocks but to me I like the darker blocks more than the light color :) I'm sure you will decide - your eye for color always wins outKaren - Quilts...etc.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07293429657903986492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4049103935243328127.post-3001945298848843442022-01-24T06:01:17.459-06:002022-01-24T06:01:17.459-06:00What a nice snowplow guy to pick up your papers an...What a nice snowplow guy to pick up your papers and put them on your porch. While it doesn’t fit the project, I really like the too light block. I end up with mote orphans because I can’t let my favorites go, thinking I can make them work, lol.
