Can't wait to see the finished top, although I know there will be some tweaking along the way.
I've left the milkweed growing in my front garden for the last few years, but haven't had any monarchs feeding. The neighbors across the road have had some last year and this year. In fact they got to see the eggs being laid but miss the chrysalis stage.
Pat
MissPathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06807348837446241284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4049103935243328127.post-42236447887348985762018-07-09T06:16:41.455-05:002018-07-09T06:16:41.455-05:00Wow! Hey look amazing together.
I also meant to congratulate you on your impressive anniversary! I’m sure happy that you’re still enjoying the blogging experience, and hope you’ll continue for a very long time. I haven’t followed you from the beginning, but ever since I “discovered” y9h, I’ve been a faithful follower and never miss reading and enjoying a post. Though I’m fefinitely not a gardener and know frighteningly few of the plants and flowers you post about by name, I also very much enjoy that aspect of your blogs. I regret that I haven’t been a very active commenter this summer - and you really don’t have to reply to every single message from me when I do comment! - I’ve been traveling, in Denmark for three weeks. And while I’ve still read your posts, it’s often been on a strange schedule, not necessarily close to when they were written because I didn’t have online access the entire time I was away.
Since being back from Denmark, I’ve also been busy planning and getting ready for an upcoming two week trip with my husband to South Africa! Yes, I’m finally going to get to see zebras in the wild and can’t tell you how excited I am! E leave on the 21st of this month and will spend one week in Cape Town and one week on safari in Kruger National Park! So I’ll be off line for a while again, then.
But I will read all your posts eventually.
So thank you again, for freely sharing all you do and for doing so many amazing and exuberantly beautiful works of art with the world!Charlottahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03654576015036728600noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4049103935243328127.post-55327623083575033352018-07-08T17:56:16.674-05:002018-07-08T17:56:16.674-05:00That quilt top is looking wonderful.......even dim...That quilt top is looking wonderful.......even dimensional. I am unable to find a source for seed so if you know where it's available please let me know. We ha e 1-1/4 acres with half of it a a Wildlife Sanctuary. I have so many wild birds and bees but only the occasional butterfly. My front yard has six butterfly bushes that get so so attention from butterflies. Bought coral bells at Walmart for 87 cent each plus a gorgeous gerbera daisy for $1.39. It seems ages since I saw any butterflies, especially in my little garden. I have lots of friendly bees visiting so I must be doing something right.I have some small Buddleia ready to flower which butterflies are supposed to like - time will tell. My Fuchsia are starting to flower - I love that they flower right through to Set/Oct, depending on the weather. It's so hot here now and no rain for a few weeks so we are heading for water restrictions. Your garden is looking pretty as always :)Lesley Gilberthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12391675183992422658noreply@blogger.com
