This block is made from the other pieces on the Fractured Studio die. I cut them a couple days ago and sewed them yesterday. I have made a table topper in the past with these blocks.
I have had a quilt in the back of my mind for a few months, to be made with batiks. I started sorting through them last night while I watched 3 hours of NCIS.
The pile in front is the pieces to be put back on one shelf. Behind it is the pieces I have pulled for the quilt.
Even my knitting is green right now.
I wasn't ready to work in the basement yesterday but maybe today I'll get the Fractured blocks down there and play at the design wall. I need to do a load of laundry because I'm running out of clean clothes.
Last night we got a little rain at 10 and more was predicted to come through overnight. It is only predicted to be in the mid 60s today.

That block is pretty! What a stack of greens you have! Speaking of green, any green tomatoes?
ReplyDeleteJust a lovely group of green batiks you have to work with, Wanda;))) I am itching to get back to sewing--but must hold off for a while still just to be sure I don't re-injure...;(((
ReplyDelete65 here and sunny this morning; today is predicted to be the warmest of the week for us...After 2 days in a row of food shopping (Costco and Big Y) I am content to relax and read a bit and work on my puzzle...;)))
I cannot help but notice how neatly folded all your fabrics are--they look ironed even!! Mine are pretty haphazardly folded I must admit--and I iron before I use them...so my shelves look pretty messy....
And so it goes...hugs, Julierose
Greens can be such a warm soothing color, looking forward to seeing what you come up with
ReplyDeleteYour greens are so refreshing including your dish cloth.
ReplyDeleteI am always eager to see what you are working on next! Greens are always fun. They go with everything. A designer told me once that greens are………and I can’t remember what they said but it was to the effect that greens are neutral and blend with everything. It was a perfect word (noun) that described how greens work with other colors. It’s bugging me that I can’t think of that word. Am I the only person that is binging on Family Affair as I am sewing? It’s on Prime Video. What a throw back to the 60s!
ReplyDeleteLove your new blocks and will enjoy seeing how this quilt grows. I love green, too! And blue, and ...!
ReplyDeleteIt's 90*F here but will cool off tomorrow and then get to 89*F or so on Friday. Then the real cool down will begin.
Hugs!
our last high 80's-90 day is today, tomorrow in the 60/40 range how sweet is that finally. Melanie said they will be out to help prepare the garden for winter this weekend - I can do with the help and will be nice to have fall weather. I need to water the garden again today though to loosen up the soil more
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, loving the green yarn on your knitting needles. I love seeing your stacks of fabrics. Rain is forecast at 100% tomorrow but temperatures haven’t dropped yet.
