The Fractured quilt top is finished except for the staystitching around the perimeter. I think maybe it should be called Shock Wave or Epicenter.
Last night I got the second shelf of green batik fabrics sorted. About half of the fabrics were turquoise on that shelf. I now have 65 pieces to choose from for my future project. The top 2 are frog prints and both of them are at least 2 yards. They will probably be used as part of the backing.
Last night's mindless sewing was creating triangle squares with Marcia Derse fabric. I don't have a purpose for them yet but thought I would rather have squares on the tray than triangles. I need to cut some more light fabrics to pair with all of the blues and greens.
Shockwave or Epicenter are both good names for this one. A pan of HST's is way better’s than a pan of triangles any day! It’s 33 here this morning but the high is predicted to be 65 with sunshine, a good day in my book.
Lovely finish, Wanda--I really like this one...;))) Nice group of HST's in progress, too. 45 here at 9 a.m.--went down to 35 overnight...still no frost as yet... Hugs, Julierose
I love the fractured quilt, and also the name Shock Wave. Also, I didn't notice any problems with the points! We are often our own worst critics (at least, I am).
I love how it turned out - it is really neat - I thought I looked at blogs earlier and then sat down to write mine last night and realized I hadn't opened the computer all day.
Well it's the end of the day and I’m finally checking your blog and my emails. Fractured ~ Shock Wave 😳 sure lives up to its name ~ looks like it’s full of electric energy.

I like the name Shock Wave. It is a great looking quilt that anyone would love! I had to breakdown and turn the heat on in the house too.
ReplyDeleteIt’s been fun watching that quilt top grow! Love the Marcia Derse HSTs and they made me wonder if you’ll be getting her new plaid line. -Roxanne
ReplyDeleteWell done and I think Shock Wave is the perfect name! Applause, applause!!
ReplyDeleteHugs!
I like Shockwave as the name. What a great quilt top.
