After I made the decision where the final 2 rows needed to be, I put the blocks up on the double design wall. I did change 2 blocks with each other after I took this photo. In the 4th row down I changed blocks one and three with each other. I'll look at it again this morning and decide it will stay that way or get changed back. Since there are 2 different blocks I was limited on which blocks could be moved to new locations.
I was intending to wash a load of light color clothes so I am glad I walked past my living room window first and saw that they were flushing hydrants. That means you might get rust in the water shortly after. I did a load of dark clothes instead.
It was a gloomy morning yesterday but I wanted to record that the Redbud tree leaves are mostly yellow now and lots were dropping all day.
The smallest trees have the most yellow leaves. The rest of the leaves will probably drop quickly, especially since they are predicting rain for today.
When I went out to pick tomatoes, I also picked a few Marigold blooms. I planted them by the tomatoes and some of the plants are 2' tall. I couldn't find any seeds for small plants. Next year I'll probably buy little plants at the nursery instead of planting seeds.

Your Fractured quilt is looking great, Wanda ;)))
ReplyDeleteThe trees are so pretty aren't they--our woods look lit up with all the yellow leaves;))) Only one red maple so far--our early turner.
Such pretty marigolds--my favorite; I didn't plant any this year and so, I am enjoying looking at your lovely blooms--thanks;))
Hugs, Julierose
So the right column of blocks is going a different direction? The blocks are so vibrant! It was windy here earlier this week and lots of leaves are already on the ground.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all the color. We don't have fall yet. Thanks for getting me in the mood.
ReplyDeleteThe fractured quilt top looks great. I love it with all the different colors!
ReplyDeleteLooking good and so happily colorful!
ReplyDeleteLove your marigolds, too.
Hugs!
I like how fracture is actually a circle at the top right side it looks good like that. I remember a few places we lived years ago where they flush out the water and you might get rust stains - in the local area we are on a county water system and we don't have hydrants out here in the country but they in town and always announce it.
ReplyDeleteI love the layout for this quilt!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of flushing hydrants before but I get it now that I know about it.
