Some years I buy the 10" squares of Kaffe collective fabrics so I can see the whole line of fabric without having to buy yardage. Last night I decided to go through the stack and pull out the ones that read one color or are a smaller print. When I came to the one on the bottom left stack I realized I should also be pulling out the ones that have a single large flower on them. I guess I get to go through the pile a second time today.
In the morning yesterday, after filling the bird feeders, I started planting pots. These are for the back garden.
I can see them from my kitchen window.
I also got one pot of Coleus done for the front of the garage. There are 4 different colors in this pot. The dark one in the middle doesn't show up well in this photo. I always like to have a photo of these when they are first planted to compare with their large size later in the summer.

Those 10" squares would be so fun to go thru! That blue flower is centered just right on that square! I took as walk around the yard last evening and one of the cora bells you sent me is doing really well and getting big. I will post a picture once I get that bed cleaned up. I have so much weeding to do - ugh!
ReplyDeleteYour 10” Kaffe squares are so beautiful and will be so fun to work with. I’m still taking my plants out and back in at night yet…Forecast said 32 degrees over night in a few days. So I will wait another week before I tackle planting.
ReplyDeleteI thought of you when I saw (and resisted buying) bundles of Marcia Derse prints at the Victoria show. It was interesting that only one vendor had any Kaffe collective fabric and that was only remnants.
ReplyDeleteYour baskets look so pretty hanging there. And oh, gee, darn to going through those piles of KF squares again 😉
ReplyDeleteI love that large flower in your 10 inch squares! Philip Jacobs?
ReplyDeleteThe 10" squares are a good idea, not sure if I've seen them in the main store selling KF fabrics here, I should keep a watch out next fabric release. I dosn't think any comments from me have been showing due to computer hitch, new one now installed so should be back in action - fingers crossed.
