I didn't have anything lined up to sew, so I sorted the 1.5" batik squares by color and value so I could check on my inventory. Red, orange and yellow filled one tray.
Another tray was all blue and turquoise, and it looks like it is mostly turquoise.
This assortment was pulled from one box of batik scraps to do more cutting today.
Here are the remaining squares waiting to be sorted. It looks like I need to cut some more purple and green.
It was chilly and breezy yesterday so I spent the day inside relaxing. The overnight into this morning was predicted to get down to the high 20s. Later this week we will be in high 60s and 70s for a few days.

Those sorted color trays look so pretty--i am looking forward to seeing your new colorwash piece...
ReplyDeleteOnly 30 degrees this morning--the cold has gotten here today...
it was a really starry night--so clear..hugs, Julierose
As Julierose observed, the trays look pretty. It’s cold here this morning too at 35. I’m hoping the frost didn’t get our yellow magnolia, which is just starting to bloom.
ReplyDeleteLove all the colors. Can't wait to see what they become
ReplyDeleteYour trays of cut squares are mesmerizing I can see all the time and work it took to do them. And the fun ahead just waiting for you…
ReplyDeleteThe Tribune weather column said we're not only out of the drought but we've had the third-wettest April on record.....You are an ace at color-array-sorting.
ReplyDeleteIt poured here on and off all day Saturday. Sunday was sunny until noon then it got cloudy. It rained lightly on my way back home yesterday late afternoon. This morning I saw snow on cars! It wasn't much, but I did see someone having to scrap their car window at 6:10 am. Crazy weather!
