I decided I needed a little more variety in the triangle blocks for the medallion quilt. It took me an hour to find my cutting die. I need to do some cleaning and organizing.
I sewed some of the triangles into squares but didn't turn the iron on last night.
The last 2 flowers on the Amaryllis have opened up. The red edge on the petals is so delicate it hardly shows up in the photo.
Our warm weather is history now, snow flurries predicted for this morning and 28 degrees on one of the weekend days.

Medallion is really coming along so well, Wanda...so pretty;))))
ReplyDeleteMy amaryllises have come and gone now...I do have one more little --what I think is a--leaf poking up--so leaving the bare stalk standing.
Just 32 here this morning--today is spare room closet clean out day with Tom's help...if I haven't used it for a year--it's going out!!
Hugs, Julierose
I love the pile of lime green and navy triangles at the lower left; they are just wild! The amaryllis is so pretty. My African violets are still blooming. They seem to keep the flowers a long time.
ReplyDeleteMedallion top has pulled in with every block and column you add. It has such a grand presence. Its a favorite one of mine to watch grow.
ReplyDeleteI had lost a die too and finally found it along with the fabric and start of blocks for a winter quilt that I had forgotten about - I think that was because I was no longer sure I wanted to make it - but I normally put the dies away not with a project - I must have intended to continue. Love the flower - we are back to the 50's/30's just when I was thinking it was time to put a spring quilt on the bed - oh well knew the cool weather would come back it was too warm for this time of year.
ReplyDeleteWonderful colors, it's a joy to sew them together.
ReplyDeleteYour white amaryllis is very beautiful.
Cheerful greetings from Viola
