I made a decision on the green triangles quilt. This layout is 9 across by 10 down, too close to square so I think it will get a strip of the white dotted fabric at the top and bottom to increase the length. I will cut the last 6 dotted triangles today. Now I need to take down triangles and sew them into squares and then into rows and a top.
I have 32 green 6 inch finished triangles left over. They will join all of the leftover blue and pink triangles in the project box.
I got two packages yesterday. The first one is the August 2025 Kaffe collective fabrics. You can see I bought mostly ones that read as one color. I don't need any more of the multicolor prints (which are hard to use). I thought about cutting 2 triangles from the fish fabric to put in my current project, but with 32 leftovers already, I decided not to.
The second package was from Patty A at Patty, the quilt lady blog. I want to try to make these and had the fabric for the one on the left already quilted and ready to cut, but I never got around to making it. You can read more on her blog.
I'm hand basting this 40" x 60" quilt to prepare for the quilting and I'm halfway there.
It was 47 yesterday morning and only got up to 65 degrees. Today may be a little cooler. I'm enjoying this weather after our hot summer.

I like that layout. Your nearly finished quilt is pretty. I would enjoy that weather too! We have one more day of 90s then our cold front comes in tonight for a few days of relief.
ReplyDeleteThe dotted fabric adds the right amount of zing to that zig zag quilt! The Kaffe fabric is pretty! I do like that fish fabric! I am enjoying the cooler weather too.
