More mindless sewing...........

My reaction to the hot weather?  Do more mindless sewing.  I am so tired of heat and humidity.

Last night I stacked the mindless sewing stratas, staggered every half inch so seams wouldn't be on top of other seams.  This is what is left after cutting off 2 sets of 4.5".

I decided on table runners and this is the first one I sewed.  It is 12" x 24".  Since there is more to cut, I could make a longer table runner.

This is the second one I sewed.  Same size as above with options to make it longer.

Today is supposed to be the hottest day of this heat spell, 90 feeling like 100 with the humidity.

  2. I hope this heat wave you're experiencing breaks soon, but your mindless sewing is producing some very pretty pieces!

  3. Ugh, hot and sticky, just ugh! For some reason, my mind wants the bricks in the first runner to layout vertically. There is nothing more soothing than mindless sewing!

  4. Stay inside and sew is a good idea. I got my forest preserve walk in before noon yesterday. Today I have two outdoor events. I'll just have to grin and bear it!

  5. Brutally hot and extremely humid here, too. UGH is right. Young Man is with us but he is happy drawing and building his newest Lego kit (1500+ pieces - a spaceship). No desire on his part to play outside.

  6. Love the results of your 'mindless sewing'! Exuberant color, indeed!
It's to be 90*F here today with the heat index 101*F and high humidity. Not fit for humans or creatures.
I have misplaced a colorful fabric and - so far - cannot find it. I'd remember if I'd used the last of it. Bother!

    Hugs!

  7. You have my sympathy with humidity and heat ! I know it just zaps all energy from your being. And to produce your table runners is quite a feat in this heat. Fabrics, as always are fantastic.
