I've enjoyed my stroll through your blog, and your quilts are lovely. I was 18 or 19, knew nothing about quilting but had a ton of neat colors of corduroy. I made quilts for family members who still have them. I used no batting and flannel on the back and tied them. Now I feel as if I have to re-go through all my stuff again. LOL I love the crocheted pieces. I use tablecloths that my mother crocheted as throws over my chairs. At least I am using them that way. I too used to make all my clothes and did until about 4 years ago. I often think about it again but then I get shock written on my face when I price the patterns now. You have been busy with the quilt also. Before you know it you will have it ready to quilt. I'd like to make to make it into a quilt too but fear that it would be too heavy. I recently came across a bag with some leftover black "poodle cloth," tightly curled, fake furry fabric that I used for a collar and down-the-front trim on a gray wool tailored coat. I actually found the coat too, and no matter how I tugged, I just couldn't button it shut as I used to. My skinny days and days when I made my wardrobe are just memories now.

The tablecloths and bedspread are lovely.Vivianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04255216150275846123noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4049103935243328127.post-15851170013128417762011-06-28T20:38:06.516-05:002011-06-28T20:38:06.516-05:00Gosh....I wish I had an attic (or a basement).
