November 2018 recap.................

November was another month of just quilt tops completed.  From the left: rectangle colorwash 24.5" x 38.5", Kaffe collective vertical rectangles 51.5" x 72", African half hexagons 58" x 80" and Marcia Derse Stars which got its borders added 66" x 81".

I haven't decided if December will be a marathon of finishing or just more playtime making quilt tops.

Pretty darn good piecing month for you. Great work.

Good morning Wanda, on this very windy and rainy day. With all you accomplished this month, maybe you should do exactly what you feel like doing, or split the difference, and do both.

In a perfect world, I would make only quilt tops. I am really drawn to your African half hexagon one.

I love that you are so comfortable making tops one after another without worrying about "finishing" them right away. I do the same thing and it makes me feel less guilty to see others who do the same. Choosing fabrics and working out the designs are the MOST fun part of the process - although finishing does feel pretty good. Do what makes your heart happy!!

Always a treat to see your 'wrap up' for the month. Each one has its own personality. Love them ALL !

It's another foggy morning here, and seeing your finishes brightened my day..

For me deciding on a pattern I'd like to make, fabric choosing and then the piecing are my first loves. I have lots of quilt tops waiting to be 'finished'. It's good to know there are other quilters out there who don't feel they have to rush to the finish line.
I love the four you have here Wanda.

I think it's wonderful that you managed those tops after being in hospital. Way to go! My favourite is your Marcia Derse Stars. But they are all lovely. Thank you for sharing - and those Christmas cacti plants are so pretty.
