July 2018 recap............

In a month of unexpected happenings I still was able to finish two quilt tops.  The one on the left has been waiting for years for the simple border addition.  The one on the right, X and +, was started on the last week in June and the top finished the last week of July.  I'm still working on the Kaffe Trip Around the World and hope the top will be done in August.
I continue to knit the dishcloths and use up the partial balls of yarn.  I finished more than these 2 but they are the only ones I snapped a photo of.

I love the wrinkly green hosta on the right.  It starts out a smoother darker green and as the summer progresses the color gets lighter and it has more wrinkles.  We had a tiny bit of rain last night for the first time in about 2 weeks.  Everything is so dry so I hope we get a few more showers as fronts push through the next 2 days.

If you want to see more photos of me holding the small quilts in my beautiful garden, go to my pop-up-shop and look at the wallhangings and throw quilts.  Several of them have a garden photo in the group of product photos.

You have been productive despite all the goings on. Good for you! It has been dry here too. We got a bit of rain, but we could use more. At least I am not having to mow as much.

A very productive month despite it all. It's time for me to make some new dishcloths. I have some partial balls of yarn too.

Good morning Wanda...The only sign of rain I saw this morning, were small wet spots on the deck but, under the benches, it was still dry, so I don't think we had much at all. We definitely need rain! We have a lot of good sized cracks in the ground, so it's really parched. I was happy to see how well the shop did when I signed on this morning. Congratulations.

You did wonders with your finishes for July, only you could continue on as you have, during your recouping from surgery. So enjoy seeing both of those quilts, detailed designs and your signature colorful fabrics always sparkle.
