Dining out.......

See the lighted sign behind my daughter and son-in-law?  It is so appropriate for their 34th wedding anniversary.  We are at at restaurant called the Library that brings your check in an old library book.  There are books up on high shelves and artwork by the owner on all of the walls.  It is a unique place to dine.

My granddaughter took a photo of the two desserts.  The one at the top is peach cobbler with lots of crunchy topping.  The one on the bottom is a skillet chocolate chip cookie with shavings of white and milk chocolate on it and a scoop of ice cream on both of them.  They are definitely both large enough to share!

What an experience it must have been, eating in a fine dining restaurant, where the food is delivered with an artistic presentation. Happy anniversary to your daughter and son-in-law on their 34th. anniversary.
Enjoy the cooler weather this week, because by next Sunday, it's supposed to be in the 90's again!

I've loved your family posts. This one is beautiful. I've shared it with my son. He has an obsession with books and his recent jobs have been in the restaurant industry.
All the best to you Wanda, many thanks for you dedication to blogging. Best part of my day.

The restaurant looks really interesting! I tried to find it, but could only come up with a dark bar in Chicago on Kinzie. What town is this in? Looks like it would be fun to try some time.

I enjoyed sharing a taste of American family life. Such precious time as the all grow up and spread to distant pastures. What a handsome young man yo have for a grandson and the anniversary couple do not look old enough to be married that long. Congratulations to them.
The food looks wonderful but, as I always experienced when travelling in America, portion size is always more generous than here in England.
