When in doubt, play with fabric.................

I did so many different things yesterday that I couldn't focus on a quilt to work on last night.  I finally decided to pull a group of fabrics to make a quilt similar to this one in Kaffe Fassett's Quilts in Sweden.  I don't have most of the fabrics he used so I'm just pulling a selection that I think will give me the same flavor.
I was so excited to see a goldfinch at my feeder yesterday.  I don't see very many of them except in the fall when they come for the coneflower seed heads.

I was checking to see what has come up in my back garden and there are 2 good size Bleeding Hearts.  One was good size last year and bloomed and the other was just tiny.  This year they are both good sized.  I hope I have 2 different color flowers.
While I was out there I picked a little bouquet of Lily of the Valley and violets.

The top view is nice too.

Today is day 3 of my 6 day pop-up shop.  It closes midnight EST on Sunday May 13.

Those fabrics are gorgeous! It has to be wonderful to have so many prints to choose from. My lily of the valley isn't even showing flower buds yet so your patch is way ahead of mine.

I used to pick bouquets of lily of the valley and violets when I was a little girl - and I still love that rich purple color with green and creamy white. Thanks for a good memory and realization this morning.

I had planted two bleeding hearts about 4 or 5 years ago - they did ok for a couple years - then one disappeared and never came back - last year neither of them grew - this year I was very surprised to see one in the bed which is totally over grown now and totally in the shade - I think I need to mark this one so I remember it and dig it up in the fall and move it - have you found they do better in part sun?

The fabrics you pulled for your next Fasset quilt are stunning. Love, love, your Lilly of the valley and violet bouquet . Our violets have come and gone already. I have the deep purple ones but have a g'zillion pink violets. I have no idea where they came from but they sure have taken over my garden AND lawn. Have you ever seen a pink violet ? I hadn't till they showed up, I'll have to google them and learn more.

Lovin' the fabrics that you have pulled - so rich! Also love your bird feeder. I don't think that I've seen one like that but we could use it because we have a few squirrels that think they are birds!

Petting fabric is always a good thing! Inspiration hits in all kinds of ways and you obviously have found what works for you. Can't wait to see how this one develops.
