All blocks completed........

I decided on 48 blocks and completed the last batch last night.  Here they are with the 2 blocks in it with the gold checked fabric that I wasn't sure about.

And here it is with those two blocks replaced.  This is more of the look I was after.  There is one combination with a muted purple, several with dull greens and at least one with blue in it.  The rest are neutrals.

This is the view from my sewing machine in the main floor studio.

I sewed all of the vertical seams and 5 of the cross seams after I took this photo.  I will finish it today.

I have been busy at my die cutter for several hours each day.  I hate to throw away these scraps that are about 1/4" wide and anywhere from 2.5" to 8" long but I don't do any art projects or weaving to use them.

My pink and white cactus had two buds and one finally opened.

I would take those small strips if you don't want them. They are beautiful.

Wow, Wanda, wow. What a gorgeous study in neutrals that all work together and are not dull, but are rich and strong. It looks terrific on your wall. Yes to the gold out.

Your instinct regarding those gold blocks was/is, as always, spot on!!! The final version is very special. I think the two gold blocks could be an interesting addition to the backing, if you had to piece it. Or they could form part of the label???? A great start to the new year.....

Anyone who does confetti quiltwork or mosaic would love those little scraps! Surely someone will pop up to claim them and save them from the landfill!

you could put the strips in your store next time you have things ready, someone might want them or pass them to another who would use them. Too narrow for me. I love your sewing area and the big quilt on the design wall that you are working on

I read blogs on Feedly and it shows the pictures .... far enough apart that I thought I liked the one with the gold in it, until I got to the second photo. Nope, totally with you on replacing them!!! My cactus hasn't bloomed yet. That warmer weather... is bringing us the chance for freezing rain, sleet and ice... Oh Yay! NOT!

Gorgeous quilt! I like the one with the gold in it, but that’s just because I was rooting for that look as opposed to the look you wanted. You have inspired me to do something more in the gold neutrals for myself. Yours is truly beautiful.

As always, your final result was perfect. My red/white blooms are huge, truly a Christmas gift. My pink and white are exactly like yours and I think I have about six blooms on that one now. I really kind of ignored them all year letting them dry out totally before I gave them a good drenching, it worked for me.

Is Gene Black one of your followers? Perhaps he would be interested for his weavings, or maybe he knows of another weaver that would be interested.

I am working on a 16patch in turquoises.. probably going on a whole year at this point. I should put my blocks up to see if I have enough for a decent sized quilt yet. :-)

I really enjoy reading your blog daily. It's a highlight in my mornings.

Really enjoyed your Sunday post today, your Neutral 16 patch finished beautifully. And I agree with the others, it looks stunning on your studio wall. Good to hear you have several takers for your quarter inch strips. And another cactus blossom to enjoy. You are right, my buds from my new plant are falling away.

I like the pops of gold, but I understand about knowing what you want it to be.
