And I chose..............

I chose to sew the right side layout.  Thank you for all of the comments and votes yesterday.  24 chose the right side layout, 11 chose the left side (see yesterday's post if you don't know what I'm talking about!). 10 people like both sides equally well or were undecided.  I just turned 2 quarter blocks a half turn on every big star block on the left half to be the same as the right half layout.  Then I noticed the dark squares touched the top and bottom of the quilt but the ends right and left were only half a square.
I took half blocks from the left and placed them on the right edge and now I was really happy with it.  Now it is ready to sew.  Well, not really, there is one quarter block turned the wrong way in both of these photos.  Actually I moved a couple blocks too after the first photo was taken.

Here is a large view and a small view so you can see how different it looks.  In the large view the star points seem more prominent and in the small view the plaid or gingham effect is more visible.

I thought you would pick that one! I like the way it forms light squares, but hadn't noticed the gingham effect until you mentioned it.

It's good you were able to make a decision and now on to sewing it together! Whoopi! It is going to be a very cool quilt!

This quilt is beyond a Hunters Star. It has so much texture and movement, no a frozen block after block look. Wow.

So often HStar quilts are made from three strongly contrasting fabrics. The blended prints you've used blur the contrast and make the viewer work harder to see the design. It's so lively!

Love the right sided one—so interesting to look at. The left was so frenetic.

👍, I was trying to give you more thumbs up on this setting, but figured one would do. Great decision for this top.

Good choice! - LOL - I was hoping you would choose the one on the right. Sometimes I think a little "blendy" is much prettier than a lot of "contrast" - ;)

It looks great that way, too. But in order to be sure you may have to mail it to me when it is all pieced together :-).

I did like the other side better, but seeing this as a whole makes a big difference and it's really pretty quilt with lovely and warm tones that are just perfect for the autumn/fall.

I can see an Accuquilt cutter will be on the cards for me eventually - you are such a bad influence! LOL!

I still think it's just amazing how it seems to shimmer in the final layout! Marvelous job Wanda‼️ It's the most intriguing Hunters Star I've ever seen!

This is one of my favorite quilts you have made recently, Wanda. It's absolutely gorgeous. I am going to have to put this one on my bucket list.
