Last seams sewn........

I had to take advantage of a dry warm day and mow the grass yesterday.  It was cold on Sunday and rain coming again last night.  I sewed the last 14 seams in 3 sessions yesterday and got this small quilt pressed last night.  The triangle squares are 3" finished so this is about 36" x 45.5".  The last few triangles from the box will be sewn into 3 six inch blocks with only 3 left over.  Those blocks will go in my orphan block box.

The colors in this quilt are so juicy and clear. Love the way the light values are such rich tints.

The quilt turned out so pretty! When I had looked yesterday at the forecast it said it was going to rain today so I mowed the front and one of the sides last night. The forecast changed and now it is not calling for rain until tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday. I guess I had better mow the back and other side tonight, weed whack, and move the last of the sweet peat. I don't want to have to do that over Memorial Day weekend.

I love having some leftovers for the orphan block home. Then when I make an "orphan" quilt - I have a journal of other quilts I have made.

That's a beautiful finish you've got. I really like the way you've chosen to place the colors within the pattern.

I love this layout. Just got caught up on your quilts and gardens. I sold my house and although I'm not supposed to plant in front of my condo, I took 2 cuttings of my grandmother and great aunts Peony plants. I won't get blooms this year, but I'm hoping for next year. I will miss my roses the most!
