Finish #4 for February.........

I finished the hand stitching on the binding last night for my final finish for February.  This one finished at 34" x 33".   When I first started this colorwash I thought I was going to have to scrap it.  I left it on the design wall for over two weeks before I went back to try to save it.  Now it is one of my favorites.
I love the batik I put on the back but it is one of those that are hard to use in piecing.  I still have about a yard of it left so if inspiration hits I have some to use.

I will do my February monthly recap tomorrow.

Yesterday was my eye appointment in Chicago.  My vision has improved slightly again from the injections in my eye so I had to endure another injection (Ouch!!!).

We knew there was a chance of severe weather starting late afternoon yesterday.  A tornado (or 2) struck about 25-30 miles south of my house.  They also had tennis ball size hail in that area.  The storms started around 4 p.m. and were still rolling through past 10 p.m.  Luckily we just had heavy rain.

Glad your injections are helping. Also the fact you got 4 quilts finished in Feb. is exciting. Keep up the rpogress. Chris

I am so glad to hear that the injections are improving your vision.
We have the potential for severe weather today - so it must be rolling southward.

Glad all is well on the quilt and Dr... front. We are having the same storms, but ours came through 2-4 am and another round now. We were watching the news... at 6 and they were showing issues east of the I-55/I-80 area. Its still rocking here... I hope this isn't an indication of the summer here!

I'm glad the injection is working for you. I know the anxiety you must feel because I'm being treated for glaucoma and just recently had to add another prescription for one eye.

Your color wash is lovely, congrats on the finish!

I was just watching the news this morning to see where all the storms were and when they reported the tornado I said I bet that is close to Wanda and got on here and sure enough it was - glad it missed you!! also glad to hear the injects in the eye are working for now.

Your finish is beautiful! I am happy that you had good news from the doctor. The storms rolled thru here about 2 a.m. I saw there were lots of garbage bins knocked over from the high winds that came with the storm. It is still raining on and off which is good for keeping the dust down on the demolition site at work.

we had pea size hail starting at 5pm and then it was quiet till 2:30am. no damage. good news about your eye. The color wash is spectacular as always.

Thrilled to hear your injections worked. I like the backing but you're right, it's a bit tricky to use.

Another stunner Wanda! I can see why this one is one of your favorites! Love that backing!

We had the edges of the wind from that storm system - unseasonably warm yesterday and downright eerie in terms of knowing there was a storm in it somewhere. We had rain overnight but the worst was clearly north of us. Your color wash is stunning!

I am so relieved you missed the worst of the bad weather and that your vision issues are improving.

So pleased to read that your vision has improved further, even if only slightly. Another lovely colourwash
piece.

Yikes, glad you are safe and hope for continued improvment on your vision! Love the intensity of colors in this one, beautiful finish!

I think that extra batik you aren't sure what you are going do with it should be considered for a binding. The waves
stripe just call out to be peeking around a quilt to be admired.

LOVE it!

I know I'm way off on my comments, but I got back from QuiltCon in Savannah and found that I had no internet. It took me a couple of days to sort it all out, turned out my router had died. I now finally have a new router installed!
I'm glad your vision is improving, but sorry that means injections in your eye! I hope they really aren't too painful or bothersome. I've actually heard they aren't nearly as bad as one would intuitively think they were. I hope that's correct. Wishing you continued improvement and healing.
