Strip sets............

I only had one TV show to watch so I sewed 3 more strips sets.  Still no definite plans for them.

I had time to select three more sets to sew tonight.

I baked the cookies.  I only had one of each - to be sure they were OK - I have to be weighed at the Dr. office tomorrow so I was being good.

I finished cleaning the basement for the art quilters today.  I had to move the Seed Packet quilt from a double design wall back to a single wall so the rows are overlapping.  I'm still trying to decide if I want to pull out some of the really light ones and replace with more colorful squares.

I think your instinct is a good one: some of the light squares seem almost like neutral background fabrics and pull the eye right to them.

Good morning Wanda....When looking at the seed quilt, my eye initially is drawn to the lighter ones as though they were white, especially the ones in rows 3, 4 and 5. I t could be because they are in such close proximity to one another. Hope your doctor visit goes well.

Sounds like you are in for a fun day with the art quilters and cookies and fabric. What else could you ask for? Except for the doctor part.

My husband always feels the need to test (not taste) the cookies to make sure they are good for our guests! We went to Missouri Star Quilt Company last week while we were in Missouri. I think my husband would have bought (for me - not for him!) every purple batik they had in stock. He loves purple and I lingered in the batik store the longest.

The cookies look so good! It would be hard to eat only one!

The light ones are attention getting. Pretty they are, but they could be replaced. Put on back of quilt

of course you HAVE to test each type of cookie-- you don't want to serve yucky cookies

Good luck tomorrow at the doc

Yes...the dreaded weigh in! The cookies look delicious.

I agree that the light ones do attract the eye. I know YOU will select the best setting. Have fun with the art quilters.

Wanda, I think perhaps a few less of the lighter ones would work. You do need a few of them for contrast (so they're all not divas). This quilt is one of the most enticing ones you've done lately. It's really drawing me in....Of course, we know you will make it all sing as you always do! Have a great time today with the art quilters.

I love the seed packet quilt! I like the inclusion of the light blocks.

Of course, my favorite thing about today's post is the tablecloth beneath the cookies 😊 And I cannot wait for "them" to add a zebra emoji!
I never bake cookies, though I'll occasionally eat a few if they're around! I know I'll enjoy whatever you do with the beautiful stripsets.
