Need to clean up........

I have been busy packaging and mailing colorwash kits that I sold and the studio desperately needs to be cleaned up.  This is the main cutting table with my personal collection of batik squares.  I had them out to help in the tweaking stage for the class last week.

This is another cutting table. I had sorted all of the scraps that I can cut for my own collection but haven't had time to do it.

My granddaughter invited me out to her house for pizza last night.  My other granddaughter and her boyfriend were there too.  I held the new baby who is 8 weeks old today.  He is a smiley little guy.

I think the most exhausting part of quilting is all the fabric that needs to be trimmed and sorted back. I have a number of piles in baskets that seem insurmountable!

nice to have a large room like that for a studio. Great to visit family and get to know the new baby.

Good morning Wanda.....So happy you got to see your newest great grandson yesterday. It must have been visiting day because our granddaughter came over so we could see our newest great granddaughter who is now 3 months old. This is the 2nd. time we've seen her and has grown so much since then. Hope the Cubs bring their bats to the game today. Enjoy your day.

After starting to read your blog I intentionally started saving bits so eventually I'd have more variety in my quilts. The one drawback is actually taking the time to access those bits, cut them, put them back etc. It's so worth it in the end but man -- that middle part is not a lot of fun. But it's generally before the actual sewing instead of at the end so that's the good part. Enjoy hugging the little baby. They grow so fast.

Even your piles of scraps on your cutting table are artful!

My kits arrived safely today and I just had to get them out and look at every one of the fabric. They are so beautiful, I am beyond excited about them. I want them on my design wall now but unfortunately there is something already there #*#@!

Holding and enjoying an 8-week old is better than cleaning the studio any day! The photos of your scraps and trays of squares are fun to explore.
