August recap......

One more month of starts and no finishes.  I think this seems to be my trend every year to not finish much in the summer because I'm out pulling weeds and mowing the grass.  I do know how to start projects at any time though.  I created 2 quilt tops in August.  The one on the left, yarn dyed woven plaids and stripes mixed with Kaffe Fassett fabrics is 72" x 95".  On the right is Stonehenge fabrics finishing at 64" x 80".  Pattern information on this post.

My granddaughter had her second baby yesterday so I'm a great-grandma again.  And yes, I like the name grandma, no other name will do.

My small laptop in the basement only has 3 USB ports so I have 2 hubs plugged into 2 of them.  I have every thumb drive filled with info from the old computer so I'm slowly adding info into this pretty little red computer.

Hartelijk gefeliciteerd, over grootmoeder.
De quilt-tops zijn prachtig.
Rustig aan doen in de zomer.
Lieve groet uit Nederland.

Yikes, a whole of technology spaghetti going on there. I would have a hard time keeping it all straight. Love the two quilts for this month, regardless of finishes.

Of course you would have a red laptop! It is quite pretty and so are your tops.

Congratulations great grandma Wanda on the birth of your second gg, but you didn't mention the sex of the little one. Hopefully you will be able to visit the newest addition to the family sometime soon.

Boy, am I enjoying this cooler weather this morning. We are going to an apple orchard today to see what we can find. I think, right now, the prices in the store for peaches can't be beat, so we'll be checking out the apples. If I remember correctly, the prices for the u-pick are higher than the ones available in the store, but we'll go and take a look anyway, being that it's only in Newark and only 12 minutes away.

Enjoy your day!

Congratulations on the second great-grandchild! We've been asked a zillion times what our grandparent names will be. Grandma Julie and Grandpa Larry -- and her parents will go by the same format only using their first names. Little Connor can choose his own pet names for us when he's old enough to want to.

I had a month of no finishes too - 2 quilt tops and a quilt sandwich that I will begin work on this weekend. I just couldn't hold my feet to the fire and finish the sandwich when I was distracted by what I consider to be the most fun - making the quilt tops.

Congratulations on the little one that joined the family.

oh to be a gramma again! my kids are "done"! and I LOVE your red computer!!
I am overwhelmed right now - have a frog, pumpkin, reindeer, row-by-row, octagon, runner, and "mama" quits on my table. Not counting projects in boxes and stacks of finished tops. I SO admire your getting quilts DONE!!

Congratulations!! We are Grandma and Grandad to our six. When the two who live by us were tots they called us Grandma and Grandad Red Dog - we had Irish Setters!! Don't forget to let us know whether boy or girl.
Love the new computer!
