Too tired to think.............

When my art quilters group comes to my house it is a high energy day.  I was wiped out by 6 p.m. yesterday.  All I had energy for was sewing some tiny Kaffe scraps together.  The one on the left is 4 small sections sewn together.  When my low bobbin light started blinking I decided it was time to give up and go to bed.

Today is supposed to be cooler so I plan on mowing the grass and starting to gather brush for free pickup next week.  Tomorrow my 2 friends are coming over to sew so I will leave the design walls that are in front of the washer and dryer for one more day.

Hi, Wanda. Glad I stopped by to start my day. Your Japanese fabric top is just so cheerful and beautiful. Have a good summer!
best, nadia

Love Kaffe fabric. It's all definitely exuberant! Your Keiko Goke fabric top is beautiful. I didn't think I would be one to use templates, but I might have to give these a try! Thanks for reminding us to get the yard work done too! :)

Hope you've got your energy back for the outdoor work - what is the 'brush' you gather - is it that stuff that rolls around into balls that I've seen in films?
I couldn't see your photo today, just a small icon top left, so I clicked on the space, which brought it up into enlarged mode. I tried moving it so I could see it in sections which gave me a rough idea of the fabrics used. Maybe it will allow me to view again if I try later. Enjoy your day in the garden.

Those are some very pretty scraps! It is cooler here today too. I have to move file boxes today from the field trailer to the storage room downtown so today is a good day for that. We still have no rain in the forecast until a week from Thursday!

how nice to have low bobbin light!! I wish all sewing machines would have them it would be a plus on any machine

I agree with Karen. I could use a low bobbin light on my workhorse machine. I have one on another machine, but it isn't the one I prefer to sew on.

Beautiful Kaffe scraps sewn. Inspiring. Don't overdo the brush pickup. Finally a bit cooler here today. Still no rain.

I love what you are starting to make. I can't get enough of the colors and prints in a quilt. I'm too bored with the project otherwise. Color on, I love it.... will be fun to see your quilt when its finished. 90's here in WA state, so stay in time to sew.

Beautiful scraps, love his fabrics! I don't have a lawn, needs too much water here, but I need to do some urgent hedge cutting. Do it by hand, good exercise!!

It sounds like it must have been a productive and fun day. I guess it is good to have something tell you when it is time for bed. lol

Like your scraps and look forward to what they will become. I checked on Keiko Goke fabrics. I like them. Thanks for the info.

What pretty scraps! Are you free piecing them or are they all cut to a size? It's going to be pretty.
We only have energy for so much don't we? It's is good to get out in the yard though. It's been hot here for the last week so I have to limit my time.

There is just something about the Kaffe fabrics that always make me happy to play with them, too. Your play date looks great!
