A little sewing, final cleaning............

I needed to move this quilt over to a single design wall so I sewed the first four columns together.  Then I moved the loose pieces over by it and also sewed the last 6 blocks.  I haven't pressed them yet and I'll finish designing this after the art quilters leave this afternoon.  It is only about 62" long so it is definitely going to need a border.

I also cut the white with black print into strips and tried them in this piece.  (All black background shown yesterday.)  No decision made and I removed the pieces from the wall so I could use my lint roller and clean 5 design walls.  Cookies are baked.

I love both quilts with the crumb made blocks. I need to get mine into some quilt form. Cookies and quilting? What could be better?

Have fun! I do enjoy both quilts but I think the first one is stunning in its use of neutrals to frame the color. I have been more under the weather than usual and not following my blogs for a while. It is nice to come back and see that you are still the accomplished artist with fabric. :)

I do like those B&W and W&B striped fabrics! They look so good against the colorful blocks! The crumb quilt is coming along nicely too.

I am waiting to see your final decision on the background for the lower quilt. It is always fun to see your process working.

What a great thing to have a place for quilters to come and create. I'm sure your friends appreciate you more than you could ever know. Throwing in cookies is just icing on the cake!

I particularly like the first quilt -- thinking about my leftover strata bits for the centers and my assortment of scrappy neutrals for the surrounds . . . hmmmm

The bottom quilt is interesting and exciting but it's being completely eclipsed by the top quilt! That one is REALLY interesting.

I agree that the white is better. I also like the squares blocks.
