Busy day.............

Yesterday morning I sewed parts for school bags for World Church Services and in the afternoon went to church sewing circle where we assembled some bags and filled others with the required number of school supplies.  On the way home I stopped at a couple stores and then sat in a parking lot waiting for a heavy rain storm to clear up.  We haven't had any rain to speak of for a couple weeks and we got 1.2" in a very short time with this storm.  By last night I was so tired sorting rectangles into color groups was all I could handle.

You have been busy.... class, garage sale, and errands! A little mindlessness is often just the ticket for recharging!!! We have had rain all summer! Very green and lush down this way. Last few days.... cloudy and humid, but at least not suffocatingly so.

Maybe today you can do somethings you like to do. I know I need to find time to be productive today at some point in the day. Chris

Quite productive a day, I would say. School has already started back here. It seems to get earlier each year.

We also had a bit of rain yesterday, but not as much as you did. You are keeping very busy!

We got that heavy rain the night before, it was amazing how much came down so quickly. I even got a warning from my cell phone about flooding.

I heard about the heavy rains. We would have loved a storm like that here.

The drought here in CA is depressing. I am trying to keep my flowers alive but all the grass is brown and dry. Somehow the weeds seem to survive it all . . . and that darn trumpet vine. I enjoy seeing your garden pictures and thinking maybe some day my perennial border will be as beautiful and lush as yours. Sigh.

The time spent with beautiful fabric is soothing to the soul. I love to click on the pictures to expand them and marvel at the variety of fabrics you use in your quilts.
