Action in the neighborhood.............

The big dead limb on that tree has been hanging over my neighbor's driveway threatening to drop on their cars for a couple years.  They called the landlord and the landlord said it is on city property.  They called the city and the city said it was on the landlord's property.  I guess they finally got it figured out and the city came yesterday morning to cut down that big branch and another smaller one above it.

Last night I got up enough energy to make 2 more crazy pieced blocks.  Today I am hoping to finish the church banner.  I will get a photo of it when I deliver it to my friend.

I really like the fact that you don't start each crazy pieced block with the same shaped center. I have seen tutorials that tell you to cut "x" number of the same shape to use as the centers. To me, that loses the magic of crazy piecing.

I agree with Gene about the centers.

Your colors are luscious. Fun, free blocks.

Wanda, that pile of batik scraps is so yummy I just want to dive in! Love how your blocks are turning out.

Those blocks are just great. I am so glad that they figured out the tree before the ice storms hit and pull it down.

There were trim trimmers in the neighborhood where I live yesterday too - well, at least that is what it looked like. There was an awful lot of equipment, trucks, and men for just trimming a tree. Maybe when I go for a walk down that street I will be able to see easier what they were doing. Little by little you are getting those beautiful blocks made!

I made some crazy blocks a couple of months ago using lots of different colours - I loved the randomness and seeing how each block turned out - something I'll do again but with a colour selection in mind :)

I am interested to see what you do with yours. I made some crazy pieced blocks that all started with a white hexagon center. Some are all yellows or all reds, or all purples. Haven't decided what to do with them yet exactly. I may leave them hexagons or let the final round make them into squares.
