4 more hours..........

I set up a little workstation for my GOBaby cutter in the garage.  When I didn't have customers I was cutting the rectangles that finish at 1.5" x 3".  I was a lot busier yesterday than Thursday and a lot of stuff went out the door.  Only one big ticket item has sold, the push mower.  4 more hours and I can close the door and pack up the leftovers for donation......and get back to quilting.  The garage sale is definitely a success for the amount of stuff that doesn't go to a landfill.  It is all a matter of finding someone who wants what you don't want.  I always have a free table out on the driveway and it gets cleared off every day.

Sounds like your efforts are paying off. Is this a community-wide garage sale or just you doing one solo?

if I didn't live out in the country I would probably have one a year or two also - I tried a long time ago out here where I live but found I lived too much in the country for most folks, I will see some sales on the edge of town but not out here.

Perfect way to spend your time between customers. It sounds like you will have a success on your hands, which is wonderful. Happy weekend!

I love garage sales, and rarely get to them, never see any out where I go. They are lovely and I have gotten some wonderful things. Glad yours went so well.

I am SO not surprised that you keep your hands busy at all times! I feel the same way about wanting people to have my things rather than just throwing them away. And what a great idea to have a free table!

There's never a spare moment for some of us. I need to be busy at all times too.
It's such a good feeling to clear out stuff and know it's going somewhere useful.
