Really the final layout........

This is really the final layout of the Blazing Stars after a few changes from a couple days ago.  I'm auditioning the light fabric as the narrow sashing between blocks and the green as the setting triangles and cornerstones.

Here is a close up of the two fabrics.

I finished basting the big quilt I showed yesterday and did some more quilting in the light areas of the wallhanging I am working on.  I also finished sewing neckbands on all of the little preemie gowns for my church project so it was a good sewing day yesterday.

Yes, I think you found the right combo to set these stars. Beautiful blocks, and I so love the 3-D effect you created here.

Love the green triangles. Now, if we could get some green outside....

The green gives the blocks such depth. Beautiful choices.

I can't believe another week went by and I had not checked in. Enjoyed your 'March recap' each one is a dream. Loved the flannel with the circle medallions at top.

I could not accomplish in a year what you do in a month.

Happy Easter ~ JJM

Great green combination going on. Your choice of the pale green has such subtle colours in there which pick up all your lights in the Blazing Stars. Can't wait to see this all finished and quilted.
